FRC Robotics Team Takes the Win

Updated: Apr 8, 2018

By Grace Bresar

This year JPCI created our first ever robotics team. The team consists of students from grades nine through twelve, who have an interest of coding and building. The FRC team has already competed in one competition, and will compete again in a couple of weeks.

Everyone who participated in the making of the robot and the arena had an amazing time doing so. While talking with some members they all said very similar things; that it was a really good experience and it was loads of fun to do. The team has made many memories, and though it was stressful at times, they all loved working on this project together. This team helped unite Juniors and seniors alike; and showed how they can work together efficiently.

Student found that making the robot was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. Each individual brought their own specialty to the table. The team started working on the robot as soon as winter break was over; they worked on it every day at lunch and after school for hours at a time. The team even came in on weekends to work on the robot. The FRC team is extremely happy with how well they have done so far this year, and they are aiming even higher for next year.
